Inviting Sophia the Robot to be your keynote speaker, technology speaker or business speaker promises your audience both a unique event and a glimpse into the future.
Invented and developed by David Hanson of Hanson Robotics – he too will be at your event to chaperon Sophia and oversee her interaction with you and your guests – she can hold a conversation, answer questions, make jokes, make speeches and use her remarkably  lifelike, mobile facial features to display a range of emotional responses.
Sophia – the Ancient Greek word for “wisdom” – was first activated on St Valentine’s Day (February 14th) in 2016. Her models include Queen Nefertiti, Audrey Hepburn and the inventor’s wife Amanda Hanson. Her increasingly complex technological components now include scripting software, a chat system, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) reasoning system and speech recognition technology. She can smile, laugh, be angry and sing. She can see, recognise faces and follow events with the use of computer-linked high-tech cameras in her eyes, which, by the way, do blink.  As part of her sophisticated makeup, Sophia has the in-built capacity to learn. Not only is she ageless, she just keeps getting better.
Sophia has been designed to serve, eventually, in healthcare, customer service, therapy and education. It’s also hoped she will have a growing part to play in global technological innovation. To this end in 2017 she was named the United Nations’ inaugural Innovation Champion, the first non-human to be given a UN title. In October 2017, at a Future Investment Summit in Riyadh, she was given Saudi Arabian citizenship – the first robot to have a nationality.
After numerous television appearances and interviews including the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sophia is a seasoned veteran of public occasions, unfazed by questions. As a Keynote and
Technology Speaker, Sophia’s knowledge and insights are truly superhuman!
