Sir Alastair Cook CBE
Sir Alastair Cook CBE is a former England Cricket Captain and one of the best opening batsmen of all time. Alastair played a record-breaking 159 consecutive tests for England and has been a distinguished player for Essex County Cricket Club. He holds several cricketing records including fifth-highest run-scorer in Test cricket and the youngest player from any country to score 6,000 to 12,000 runs in test cricket.
Active outside of sport, Alistair maintains a farm in Leighton Buzzard. He’s also written columns for the Metro and The Daily Telegraph. In charity, he’s participated in The Great City Race for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and modelled naked to increase awareness of testicular cancer in the Everyman Campaign. As a speaker, he’s relaxed and humorous, drawing on his vast sporting experience, as a relatable and insightful commentator. Alistair is a big proponent of the power of hard work and self-belief, making him an inspirational, motivational speaker, through his many sporting achievements.
