Leah Williamson
Leah Williamson is a versatile English professional football player who is Captain of the England national team -the Lionesses- and also plays for Arsenal. From the age of 6, Leah joined the Rushden & Diamonds Centre of Excellence where her coach gave her a start at Arsenal; prompting a move to Arsenal’s Centre of Excellence at 9. She trained for years to achieve senior placements and, in 2014, she’d make her senior team debut. Leah has had a momentous career including a national win for England in UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 with the most ball recoveries at 56.
Leah trained as an accountant, but a lifelong love of football and Arsenal have seen her forge a different path.
