Joanna Gasiorowska

Joanna has been a senior sports presenter, reporter and producer at Al Jazeera English since its launch in 2006. She presents live sports bulletins on the channel’s Newshours and on the daily social media news programme – AJNewsgrid.

Joanna is also an experienced reporter and has covered both the Olympics and the Winter Olympics, the European football championships, golf’s Ryder Cup, Diamond League athletics as well as FIFA World Cup qualifiers across the Middle East and Africa.

Throughout her career, Joanna has covered major sports stories including – the FIFA corruption scandal, Russian doping revelations and FIFA’s awarding of the World Cup to Russia and Qatar.

Joanna is passionate and knowledgeable about global sports events and trends and uses her warm presentation style to bring that passion to the viewer.
