Jacqui Oatley MBE
Jacqui Oatley is one of Britain’s leading sports presenters and commentators – a hugely respected and versatile broadcaster with almost two decades of experience. Jacqui made history in 2007 as the first female commentator on Match of the Day and has been racking up the “firsts” ever since. She is currently lead commentator on Sky Sports’ coverage of the FA Women’s Super League and presents EFL on Quest as well as darts for ITV Sport.
An engaging host with a vibrant personality, Jacqui has compered many events for organisations such as FIFA, the Football Association, Premier League, non-sporting corporations and charities, plus she has delivered speeches at Goldman Sachs and many universities and schools. She is an accomplished keynote speaker and skilled moderator of panel debates and Q&A sessions.
Jacqui was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2016 New Year Honours list for services to broadcasting and diversity in sport. The award was in recognition of her work behind the scenes championing the role of women working in football as well as the promotion of the women’s game. She is a Women in Football ambassador and serves on the national committee of the Football Writers’ Association.
Jacqui has always had an innate passion for a wide range of sports. She is the UK’s first female darts presenter, having fronted ITV Sport’s PDC tournaments since 2015 and has covered various other sports including tennis, golf, rugby league and snooker.
In August 2021 she enjoyed a successful spell as co-host of BBC Five Live’s Drive programme and is an avid follower of news and current affairs. Jacqui was a BBC commentator on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee procession in 2012.
Away from work, Jacqui is a married mother to Phoebe and Max.
