Angela Barnes started her career at Sky News, becoming a reporter on its flagship weekly technology show, Swipe. Described in Ireland’s Better Business magazine as “one of Europe’s most prominent news figures,”
Her career has since expanded, becoming a regular face on the international news channel Euronews.
As both a presenter and correspondent, Angela has been breaking news on the coronavirus pandemic, reporting on climate change from South America’s icefields in Patagonia, and is one of the team members that front Euronews technology and science show Futuris from across Europe. She is also a regular on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Channel 5 News, and has hosted shows on Sky Sports, as well as reporting on East Tech West for CNBC.
Angela is an experienced event host and moderator, guest speaking for Dynamic Women on how to be more fearless and achieve your goals, at BAFTA on future technology predictions – and for Funzing events, moderating talks with leaders in business and science.
Before her broadcasting career, Angela studied Journalism at Southampton Solent University, gaining a 2:1 and was awarded the Wave 105 Broadcast Student of the Year accolade. She also gained a postgraduate diploma in Law at the University of Law in Guildford.
