A system to measure UAE television audience figures has been launched for broadcasters and advertising agencies, in an attempt to help the Arab world’s nearly US$5billion (Dh18.36bn) advertising industry grow. A staged roll-out of the people meter system, which will be officially launched in October, and will be known as “tview”.
The platform aims to provide transparent and reliable ratings for advertisers. It’s good news as similar ratings systems in the UK and Europe which have been running for decades have been fundamental to ensuring advertising revenues in those territories.
